A House in the Lebanese Mountains: Recipes and Stories from Beit Trad

Join us for an evening with Sarah Trad, author of A House in the Lebanese Mountains, a celebration of Lebanese hospitality, family, food, and slow living. Originally from Beirut and now living in Athens, Sarah will share the story of Beit Trad, her family home in the Lebanese mountains. It began with her mother’s dream of a house always filled with friends, food, conversation, and life—a place where friends would give the family home its soul and flavor. That dream became Beit Trad, a welcoming guesthouse overlooking the Mediterranean.

We’ll interview Sarah about her family, the house, and the recipes that fill the book. Chef Ana will demonstrate Sarah’s spicy fish with tahini sauce while Sarah talks her through the recipe and shares its story. Other recipes will be served buffet-style for guests to taste while they wait to have their books personalized by Sarah.

The tasting will include spiced cheese with radish, fried cauliflower with lemon-garlic vinaigrette, black lentil mdardra, pumpkin kibbeh, spicy fish, mhalabiyeh tart with pistachio paste, and apricot soup.

Price includes a copy of the book.
