Cookie College

Cookie College is for cookie enthusiasts and for bakers who want to make consistently great cookies at home. Drawing from her daily work in Sofra’s pastry kitchen — and her background as a professor — Andrea Davies shares how professional baking translates to the home cook, including which steps matter most, how ingredients behave, and how to adjust recipes with confidence using home equipment. Andrea’s enthusiasm for baking and her ability to clearly translate what we do at Sofra really make this class perfect for the home baker.

In this class, Andrea will demonstrate Sofra’s Chocolate Chunk Cookies, Earthquake Cookies, Syrian Shortbread, and Pistachio Shortbread. Savory bites and a first course will be served.

All of our cooking classes are held in our Allston location and are demonstration-style. Our chefs will do the cooking and baking and you will get to do the eating and drinking—and we'll send you home with all of the recipes from class!
