Sofra Spice Pantry

We love our spice blends at Sofra and use them constantly in our recipes. In this class, Chef Pri will share some of the secrets behind our signature blends and demonstrate how they can transform summer cooking. We believe spices bring richness, depth, and brightness to food without making dishes feel heavy and are one of our favorite ways to highlight beautiful summer vegetables from Siena Farms. Pri will demonstrate dishes including Persian style carrots and black eyed peas, stuffed peppers with couscous, tomato, preserved lemon, and ras el hanout, as well as a couple Sofra favorites including chicken borani with chard, yogurt sauce, and baharat spice. She will also share our special blend of dukkah and talk about how we use these blends in everyday cooking at home and at Sofra.

All of our cooking classes are held in our Allston location and are demonstration-style. Our chefs will do the cooking and baking and you will get to do the eating and drinking—and we'll send you home with all of the recipes from class!
