Summer Chills

Summer calls for something cold, creamy, crunchy, and a little dramatic. Join Executive Pastry Chef Nik Mastalerz for an evening devoted to frozen desserts inspired by the flavors of Oleana and Sofra. In this demonstration class, Nik will show you how to create restaurant style frozen desserts at home, all without needing an ice cream maker. You’ll learn to make filo ice cream cones topped with kaymak ice cream, white chocolate dip, and salted almonds. Nik will also demonstrate chocolate and pistachio semifreddo, which means “half cold” and is loved for its silky texture that stays softer than traditional ice cream. He will also share his version of the famous Turkish dessert bici bici with raspberry granita, labne jellies, and fairy floss.

All of our cooking classes are held in our Allston location and are demonstration-style. Our chefs will do the cooking and baking and you will get to do the eating and drinking—and we'll send you home with all of the recipes from class!
