Known for its hearty mountain fare and deep culinary traditions, the area is famous for dishes like muhlama, a silky cheese fondue made with toasted cornmeal and butter, and kaygama, a savory crepe filled with herbs and vegetables. It’s also home to some of the world’s best hazelnuts and walnuts, as well as an heirloom variety of bulgur wheat that defines many of the region’s rich, soulful dishes. Here's what Chef Ana will demonstrate—Cheesey Muhlama, cornbread croutons, sautéed pickles, hazelnuts, and honey, Black Sea herb and chard pancake with ricotta, Stuffed grape leaves with lentils, heirloom bulgur, braised mushrooms & purple basil. She’ll also share stories from her recent travels through the region and tips on how to create a turkish breakfast at home.
