Please note that this is a different format from our traditional cooking classes!
Köy, which means "village" in Turkish, is the name of Baran and Serdar’s food-importing business. The two met while working together at Sofra Bakery in Cambridge and took a bold leap of faith to start their own venture, bringing high-quality Turkish ingredients to the U.S. Köy specializes in importing unique, essential ingredients from Turkey. Three of their staples—organic bulgur wheat, red pepper paste, and tomato paste—have become indispensable in our kitchen. And there’s a fourth ingredient we’re obsessed with: a truly special pistachio paste. The ingredients they source have had a real impact on the food we serve. Join us for a special Turkish feast—an exclusive evening and a rare event at Sofra!
