Iranians are famous for their hospitality, and guests in a Persian home are greeted with an array of fragrant and colorful homemade dishes. We welcome you into our kitchen for this Persian cooking class with Guest Chef Louisa Shafia, author of The New Persian Kitchen. Together with Chef Ana Sortun, Louisa will share a mix of authentic street foods and classic family favorites from her cookbook. Recipes include: Cold Pistachio Soup with Mint and Leeks, Sweet and Smoky Beet Burgers, Barley Stew with Lamb and Rhubarb. Participants will receive a copy of Shafia’s cookbookThe New Persian Kitchen, to take home.
